How Our Courtesy Vehicle Program Works

1. Schedule Your Service

Let our team know that you may need a courtesy vehicle when scheduling your appointment. Advance reservations are strongly recommended because availability is limited.


2. Complete the Requirements

Before receiving a vehicle, qualifying drivers must provide:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • Full-coverage insurance
  • A valid credit card for a temporary $100 authorization hold
  • A signed vehicle loaner agreement


3. Keep Your Day Moving

Take the courtesy vehicle to work, handle family responsibilities and continue with your normal schedule. We will keep you updated and contact you when your vehicle is ready.

Our courtesy vehicles are provided to qualifying Mastertech customers while their vehicles are actively being serviced or repaired.

There is no traditional daily rental charge, although customers remain responsible for fuel, tolls, tickets, damage and any fees identified in the signed agreement. Courtesy vehicles are subject to availability, eligibility and program terms.


Need a Vehicle but Not Getting Repairs?

Rent a Mastertech Vehicle for Your Everyday Transportation Needs

You do not need to have a vehicle in our shop to rent from Mastertech Auto Repair. Our vehicles are also available as traditional daily rentals for customers who need dependable transportation for work, family activities, travel or temporary vehicle replacement.


Depending on availability, rental options may include:

  • Fuel-efficient cars
  • SUVs and crossovers
  • Three-row vehicles
  • Minivans
  • Commercial vans, including Transit Connect and Transit-250 models


Rental vehicles are offered at competitive daily rates and are subject to availability, driver eligibility and the terms of the signed rental agreement. A valid driver’s license, credit card and proof of insurance are required. Optional insurance coverage may also be available through Mastertech.


Specific vehicle types may be requested, but individual makes, models and vehicles cannot be guaranteed. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.

  • Is the loaner vehicle really free?

    Yes. There is no standard daily rental charge for qualifying customers while their vehicle is actively being serviced at Mastertech. Program requirements and restrictions apply.

  • Can I rent a vehicle without getting any auto repair service?

    Yes. You do not need to have a vehicle being serviced at Mastertech to rent one of our vehicles. Cars, SUVs, minivans, three-row vehicles and commercial vans may be available at a daily rental rate. Availability, eligibility requirements and rental terms apply. Advance reservations are recommended.

  • Can I reserve a specific type of vehicle?

    You may request a car, SUV, van, three-row vehicle or commercial van. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but specific vehicles cannot be guaranteed.

  • Do I need full-coverage insurance?

    Yes. Drivers must provide proof of full-coverage automobile insurance unless you purchase insurance coverage through Mastertech

  • What is the $100 credit-card hold?

    The $100 hold is a temporary authorization placed on your credit card when the vehicle is checked out. It is not a daily rental charge. The authorization is released after the vehicle is returned and all program requirements have been satisfied. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution. 

  • Can I receive a courtesy vehicle for an oil change?

    Yes, depending on availability. Courtesy vehicles are available for many types of scheduled service, including oil changes and routine maintenance. 

  • When do I need to return the vehicle?

    Courtesy vehicles must be returned promptly after you are notified that your vehicle is ready. You have until the end of the following business day to return the vehicle. After that time, the courtesy vehicle will be converted to a paid daily rental at the applicable rental rate, according to the terms of your signed agreement. 

  • Do I need to replace the fuel I use?

    Yes. Vehicles should be returned with the same fuel level they had when checked out. Additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
